he Secretary to the State Government of Ekiti, Professor Habibat Adubiaro will on 28th April, 2026 deliver the inaugural lecture of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) on underutilized plant resources.
Adubiaro, who is a professor of Industrial Chemistry at the Institution’s Faculty of Physical Science will deliver the lecture, titled “From Biodiversity to Biovalue: Compositional, Nutritional, Functional and Oleochemical Insights into Some Underutilized Plant Resources”.
The event is scheduled to take place at the institution’s 1,000-seat capacity hall on its main campus in Oye-Ekiti.
According to the organisers, the lecture will explore the potential of underutilized plant resources, with emphasis on their composition, nutritional value, functional properties and oleochemical applications.
A reception is expected to follow the academic exercise at the AB-Events Centre, Opopogboro, Ado-Ekiti.
Professor Adubiaro extended invitations to members of the academic community, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and other stakeholders to attend the event.
