The Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Ekiti State Assembly, has commended the Governor of the State, Biodun Oyebanji, for his unwavering commitment to youth development and empowerment across the state.
The Assembly particularly appreciated the Governor for the approval and disbursement of subventions to youths and students organizations in Ekiti State, describing the gesture as a clear demonstration of his administration’s dedication to supporting young people and strengthening youth-based institutions.
Speaking on behalf of the Assembly in a statement signed and made available to journalists by its Speaker, Ayomide Oluwatosin noted that Governor Oyebanji has continued to prove himself as a youth-friendly Governor whose policies and programs are creating opportunities for young people to grow, lead and contribute meaningfully to society.
YAN Ekiti also extended profound appreciation to the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development, Adedayo Gold, for his outstanding leadership and dedication to advancing the Ministry’s vision.
The Assembly stated that under his leadership, the Ministry of Youth Development has witnessed remarkable progress through impactful programs, strategic engagements, and inclusive youth-focused initiatives.
The Assembly further highlighted some of the achievements of Governor Oyebanji’s administration in the youth sector, including: increased support for youth and student organizations, promotion of youth inclusion in governance and decision-making, empowerment and skill acquisition programs for young people, support for entrepreneurship and innovation among Ekiti youths, improved collaboration between government and youth stakeholders, as well as continuous investment in education and human capital development.
YAN Ekiti reaffirmed its support for the administration of Governor Oyebanji and pledged its continued commitment towards promoting policies and initiatives that will positively impact the lives of youths across Ekiti State.
The Assembly prayed for more wisdom, strength, and success for Governor Oyebanji and the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development as they continue to serve the people of Ekiti State diligently
