The lawmaker representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency II (Moba/Ilejemeje/Ido-Osi) in the House of Representatives, Akinlayo Kolawole, has assured Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, of overwhelming electoral support from his constituency ahead of the June 20, 2026 governorship election.

Speaking in Ido Ekiti during the LG tour by the Governor, Kolawole expressed confidence that voters across the federal constituency would deliver 100% of their votes to the governor, citing his administration’s performance and developmental strides.

According to him, the electorate in Moba, Ilejemeje and Ido-Osi local government areas are prepared to reciprocate the governor’s impactful governance.

He emphasized that the anticipated support is rooted in a track record of performance, noting that the Oyebanji administration had executed numerous projects across the constituency.

According to him, the projects include road construction, educational infrastructure and empowerment programmes targeted at various segments of the population, particularly the elderly.

On his political ambition, the federal lawmaker disclosed that he is gearing up for his party’s primary scheduled for May 15, expressing optimism about securing the ticket.

His words, “I give 100% assurance that the government should expect 100% of the votes from the federal constituency, covering Ilejemeje, Ido/Osi and Moba local governments.

“I can assure you that come June 20, 2026, my federal constituency will deliver overwhelming support to His Excellency, Governor Biodun Oyebanji because of his track record and performance.

“What we are doing this time is to pay him back for what he has done for us, to reward him for the quality service he has rendered to the people of Ekiti State, especially my federal constituency.

“The projects executed are too numerous to count ranging from road construction and school development to empowerment programmes for students, the elderly and many others. Based on these achievements, he deserves to be elected for a second term.

“It’s not even up to three weeks, our primary comes up next week, on May 15. I am fully ready, battle-ready for the primary. I am hopeful and prayerful that on that day, I will emerge victorious by God’s grace”.
