One of the vibrant members of People’s Democratic Party and former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose said President Bola Tinubu has no constituted authority to stop the alleged 6.9bn trial against him by the Economic Finance and Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Fayose stated that the trial has been in existence for 5 years after he left office as the Governor of Ekiti State, adding that the system will determine the outcome.

According to him, “President Tinubu has no power to stop EFCC trial, my trial has been known for over 5 years, so, bringing in into the current is a cheap blackmail for people who are uncomfortable.

“It’s not right for me as a defendant to start rationalising things, let us preserve the integrity of the system and leave it like that.”
