Thr Ekiti State Cultural Troupe has arrived in Netherlands to perform for the Nigerian Community in commemoration of the Nigeria’s independence anniversary.

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Prof Rasaki Ojo Bakare said the Contingents departed Lagos early on Thursday morning for Netherlands enroute Casablanca.

He expressed gratitude to Governor of the State, Biodun Oyebanji, whom he described as the “Omoluwabi Governor” for giving support to the vision of Ambassador Ajayi to have Ekiti State performing arts team in Netherlands by providing all that were needed, not only to make the trip, but to make Ekiti State proud during the tour.

He described the Governor as a huge fan of the troupe to whom the members of the troupe would forever be grateful.

He also showered praises on Ambassador Eniola Ajayi, the Nigerian Ambassador to Netherlands, for being the mastermind of the cultural exposition tour that brought the Ekiti State Performing Arts Company to Netherlands.

He also recalled that Ambassador Ajayi had also, in the past, shown her love for the Nigerian culture and, particularly, her passion for Ekiti State, by inviting the State’s cultural troupe to Hungary in 2019 when she was there as Nigerian Ambassador.

Thereafter, the troupe would have a performance tour of some places and return to Nigeria before the middle of October.
