Manchester United has planned to ship out 13 players at the end of the season as Ten Hag’s revolution continues.
Manchester United, who has historically struggled to move players out of the club is now preparing to move out up to 13 players.
The club who shipped out eight first-team players on permanent deals last summer has only managed to recoup slightly over £10million as some stars such as Paul Pogba ran their contracts down and left for free, while others were sold on the cheap.
Harry Maguire, Anthony Elanga, and Anthony Martial are among the names listed, along with Eric Bailly, Donny van de Beek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the overhaul set to be overseen by Matt Hargreaves, formerly of Adidas, who became the club’s new chief transfer negotiator in March. The plans could also see five players arrive at Old Trafford.
As far as incomings are concerned, meetings with Bayer Leverkusen full-back Jeremie Frimpong’s representatives have taken place as Ten Hag looks to reinforce his defence.
However, their priority remains a striker, then midfielder, centre-back, right-back, and a goalkeeper if funds allow for such rich spending.
Amad Diallo has impressed on loan at Sunderland and could be given a chance to continue his development in United’s first team while fellow promising youngster Facundo Pellistri could move out on loan once a new contract with United is agreed upon.
