The Nigeria Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has stated that the force would go after pranksters who make outrageous pranks.
Olumuyiwa revealed this while condemning a viral prank video on the twitter.
Adejobi shared a prank video where a prankster released a dog on a commuter who chased him to his compound after he flogged him while on bike.
Retweeting the video, the he wrote, “You see am? If he’s arrested now, many will still be attacking the police, that it’s a business. Imagine… anyway, every day for the thief, a day for the owner. Make em dey do am dey go.”
This comes after an Oyo-based skit maker, Trinity Guy, was arrested last month over “immoral prank” after series of warnings from the police regarding his extreme prank videos
Trinity Guy was consequently arraigned and remanded by an Oyo State Magistrate Court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, over alleged sexual exploitation of a 10-year-old minor.
