The President of Society Of Nare Theatre Arts, Prof Doki Gowon has hailed Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State for nominating a leading member of the Society, Prof Rasaki Ojo Bakare to serve as Commissioner for a second term.
Professor Gowon stated this in his welcome address, at the opening ceremony of the 36th International Conference of Theatre Arts lecturers and scholars from all Nigerian universities, held at Benue State University, Makurdi.
In his words, “As I was writing this speech, I got the cheering news from Ekiti concerning the renomination of our former National Secretary General and first Professor of Dance and choreography, Prof Rasaki Ojo Bakare As Commissioner for a second term.
“We thank Governor Oyebanji for recognising the power of the artist a the arts and culture sector in driving sustainable development in our states. We will join hands with the Governor and our colleague to transform Ekiti State.”
