Ayodele Fayose has faulted the European Union’s report on the 2023 general election, saying the body were fed by purveyors of fake news and liars who didn’t mean well for the nation.
NEWSTODAYNG recalled that the EU’s Report blamed the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for irregularities of Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and other logistics.
Fayose noted the 2023 general elections remained the most credible, fair and accurate election in the history of Nigeria.
According to him, “When a thing is not transparent, it affects everybody. Atiku won with landslides in Adamawa, Obi took his space completely in Enugu and Abia.
“Asiwaju became helpless in terms of manipulation, I am not washing brains for him, I am following the trends, other people won in their home states but Tinubu did not win in Lagos.
“INEC can’t do everything on the elections day, blame everybody, don’t blame INEC alone, blame Nigerians.
“The desperation of the Politicians will keep INEC helpless forever.
“In Ekiti election in 2018, they hit me with gun at the back of my head, nobody blamed INEC at the time because Fayose wasn’t popular but today, I have moved on.
“Where were the EU when they hit me with gun on my head? Where were they? Let them enjoy their report.
“The Report cannot tell the Court, the Court can only talk about Polling Units, the capacity of the Court does not go beyond that.”
