Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has ordered the suspension of the Rector of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree , Dr Tajudeen Odetayo.
Odetayo’s suspension was contained in a statement issued by the Ministry of Education and signed by the Permanent Secretary.
According to the statement, the Rector was suspended over the allegations of financial recklessness, corruption , misappropriation of fund and abuse of office.
Odetayo has been directed to step aside pending the time the allegations against him is properly investigated by relevant bodies .
The Governor has however approved the appointment of Alabi Kehinde Adeyemi as the Acting Rector of the Institution.
