The champion of 100m hurdles, Tobiloba Amusan has been dropped from representing Nigeria in the upcoming 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest after missing doping tests on 3 occasions.
Newstodayng gathered that the Athletics Federation of Nigeria( AFN) has released the list of athletes that will represent the country as Amusan’s name was not enlisted.
The athletics body a few weeks ago organised a trial for the athletes at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin City, Edo State.
The athletes that made their mark in the trial and meet up with the required time and standard of the World Athletics made the list.
Meanwhile, report has it that the Olympic champion was suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) a few weeks ago after failing to show up for the compulsory doping test on 3 occasions.
The hardworking athlete has promised to clean her name but it might be too late as the championship is set to run between August 17th – 29th, 2023.
