The Prowess University, Dalaware, United State of America, has officially decorated the former Special Assistant to former Governor of Ekiti State on Mobilization, South, Dr. Olalekan Ijidale with an Honourary Doctorate of Philosophy in Humanities.

The event which took place at the premises of the University of Lagos, was well attended by scholars of note, researchers, top government functionaries, friends and families of the awardees.

Speaking while decorating Dr. Ijidale, the African Representative of Prowess University, Prof. Eze Chidi Nwauba affirmed that Dr. Ijidale was among the few carefully selected by an independent jury based on their track records of excellence and selfless service to Humanity.

According to him, the honour is out of merit and globally recognized, urging Dr. Ijidale to sustain the virtues that earned him the prestigious honour.

In an interview, Dr Olalekan Ijidale, a graduate of Politics and International Relations, Lead City University with several professional Certifications in ICT described the honour as another added feather in his academic career.

He thanked God for the great feat and appreciated his loved ones, such as the Governor of Ekiti, Biodun Oyebanji, the
former Ekiti state Governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi, his wife, Erelu Bisi, his wife Dr, Olayemi, the Ekiti APC Chairman, Barrister Paul Omotosho, friends and family members for their support over the years.

Meanwhile, a cross section of persons in Ekiti State from different sector of the economy have continued to send their messages of felicitation to Dr. Olalekan Ijidale, describing the honour as well deserved considering how he rose from a difficult background to lime light.
