The Minister of Education, Prof. Mamma Tahir revealed that the Federal Government of Nigeria has promised to commit 25 percent of the national budget towards Education.
The Minister disclosed this on tuesday during a press briefing in preparation for the 2023 World Teachers Day.
Tahir added that the commitment was done to increase the standard of education in the global space and ensure that the most skilled people are kept on board.
He also beseeched security agencies and the Military to be more involved in protecting school areas and ensuring the safety of students.
