Lilian Obayan, the wife of a Nigerian Prophet, Ayodeji Obayan has made the news after taking the leadership of her husband’s Church and married a congregant of the Church.
NEWSTODAYNG gathered that the Prophet has dragged her to a Customary Court, accusing his wife of changing the name of his church from “Prophetic Solutions Ministry” to “Peace of Jerusalem Revival Ministry” after her marriage to a fellow church member, Prince Obi Abua, and also changed the name of his four children.
However, the wife explained to the Presiding Judge, Olusegun Rotiba that Obayan has refused to pay her dowry in their 23years of marriage, hence, she deserves the right to claim the children to whoever she chooses.
Lilian further claimed that her husband is irresponsible and no traditional marriage was conducted, therefore the union should be dissolved, adding that he isn’t a good father to the children and inadequate of providing for the family.
However, the Pastor while counting his loss, insisted that the name of the children be changed to his as their father.
The Judge, Olusegun Rotiba however adjourned the case until further notice.
