Ghanaian Rapper, Mohammed Ismail Sherif, also known as Black Sherif has won his first BET award as the “Best International Flow Rapper” for the Hip Hop category.
NEWSTODAYNG gathered that the event, which was held in Atlanta on Tuesday, will be shown live on 10th October.
Sherif was first nominated in 2022 for the same category but was superseded by a France-born rapper, Benjamin Epps.
Black Sherif’s recent recognition as the West African Artiste of The Year at The 2023 Headies in Atlanta further cements his growing prominence in the music industry.
This accolade not only showcases his personal achievements but also highlights the growing impact of African artists on a global scale.
It’s now on record that Black Sherif emerged winner this year as he beat nine other nominees for the same award.
His counterparts include, Aka and K.O from South Africa, Sampa the Great from Zimbabwe, Gazo (France), Central Cee (UK), J Hus (UK), Major Rd (Brazil), Ninho (France) and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).
