Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State on wednesday hosted the state contingents to the National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State, at the Governor’s Office, Ado-Ekiti.
While praising the athletes for not allowing the ridiculous experience of the opening day to discourage them from putting in their best and winning medals for Ekiti state, Oyebanji promised cash gifts for each member of the team.
The athletes thanked the Governor for his kind gestures and promised to continue to make the state proud.
Present at the event were top government functionaries, including the Deputy Governor, Monisade Afuye, among others.
