On a somber note, the ongoing saga following the death of beloved singer Osinachi Nwachukwu took a significant turn as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Wuse Zone 2 dismissed the no-case submission filed by Peter Nwachukwu, the late singer’s husband.

Osinachi, whose demise occurred on April 8, 2022, had earlier sparked a whirlwind of speculation and sorrow among fans and the general public.

The unfolding judicial proceedings have kept the spotlight on the case, with the latest court ruling further fueling the discourse surrounding domestic violence and justice in the entertainment industry.

NEWSTODAYNG gathered that, Peter Nwachukwu had sought a no-case submission following reports and accusations of domestic violence, a claim further put to the test by an autopsy that showed no signs of violence.

Nwachukwu’s lawyer, I.A. Aliyu, argued that the medical evidence cleared Nwachukwu of culpable homicide and domestic violence.

However, Justice Njideka Nwosu-Iheme of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Wuse Zone 2 has rejected the ‘no-case submission’ filed by the husband.

The court found the evidence substantial enough to dismiss the no-case submission, demanding Peter Nwachukwu to open his defense on the matter.

The case exemplifies the ongoing tug of war between the quest for justice and the veil of uncertainty that often surrounds domestic violence cases, especially in the limelight of the entertainment scenes.
