In yet another remarkable achievement, the collaborative track ‘Calm Down’ by Nigerian Artiste Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema and Selena Gomez, has made history by spending an entire year on the Pop Song Airplay Chart.

‘Calm Down’ has achieved a remarkable milestone, with 52 consecutive weeks on the Pop Song Airplay Chart, setting a new chart record.

Rema continues to break boundaries and achieve milestones in the music industry, making him one of the leading figures in the global music scene as the song has become a global sensation and previously made history as the first African track to reach the number one spot on the Pop Songs Chart in the United States. This achievement underscores the immense popularity of the song in the U.S.

Furthermore, ‘Calm Down’ reached the impressive position of number three on the US Billboard Hot 100, setting a record for an African song in this century. The song spent 52 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, which is an unprecedented feat for an African track.

Rema’s tremendous success in the United States is further evident in his six nominations at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, including categories such as Top Afrobeats Artist, Top Radio Song, Top Collaboration, and Top Billboard Global 200 Song.
