…as Ekiti NUJ hails appointment

In a noteworthy stride towards fostering professionalism and unity within the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), the chairperson of Ekiti state chapter, Fatima Bello, has been appointed as a member of the National Disciplinary Committee.
This commendable achievement comes as part of the broader efforts led by the National Chairperson, Aishat Bura, to enhance the organization’s effectiveness.
The recent establishment of three crucial committees – Education/Training, Disciplinary, and National Conference Committee – signals a renewed commitment to steering NAWOJ towards greater heights.
Bello’s appointment to the Disciplinary Committee highlights the recognition of her outstanding leadership qualities and dedication to the ideals of the association.
Bello’s appointment, in a congratulatory statement released by NAWOJ Ekiti Chapter and signed by the Secretary, Adewumi Ademiju, is lauded as truly deserved.
The statement acknowledges her unwavering commitment, loyalty, and genuine interest in the welfare of the union, stating,
“The Ekiti NAWOJ Chairperson has undoubtedly demonstrated leadership qualities powered by dedication, loyalty, and interest in the union.”

The Ekiti Chapter expressed its joy over its Chairperson’s appointment, emphasizing that her contributions will undoubtedly facilitate the association’s progress at the national level.
On his part, the Chairman of Ekiti State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Kayode Babatuyi also hailed her appointment, describing the Ekiti Chairperson as a good ambassador of Ekiti NUJ having piloted the affairs of the association of women journalists in the State.
Babatuyi, in a statement signed by the Union’s Assistant Secretary, Victor Akinkuolie, thanked the NAWOJ national body for the appointment which is a testimony that it keeps faith with Ekiti NUJ by appointing one of its diligent members into the Disciplinary Committee.
While describing Bello as a round peg in a round hole, the chairman urged her to continue to represent the council in good manner.
