A Fulani Herdman simply identified as Bugaje, has confessed to being the mastermind of the gruesome killing of two Ekiti monarchs, Onimojo of Imojo, Oba Olusola Olatunde and the Elesun of Esun, Oba David Ogunsakin.
Bugaje, during interrogation by the Police said he and eight others namely: Umar, Sidi, Alli, Arafat, Buba Wakili, Sanni, Bello and Abubakar, were responsible for the murder of the two traditional rulers.
“After shooting them (the monarchs) we ran to Ayebode. We decided that when we hear the security are after us then we would run away” Baguje added.
The suspect, who said they have nine AK-47s, added that the intention of his team was to kidnap the royal fathers but not to kill them.
Baguje added that his team live in the bush where they keep their guns at Ayedun near Ayebode.
Speaking on his antecedents in crimes, he said he has been involved in robbery at Irele-ekiti, where his team stopped vehicles and robbed passengers.
He added he has been involved in kidnapping of at least three people at Irele-Ekiti, and Ilorin in Kwara State.
