President Bola Tinubu has appealed to state governors across the country to release land for cattle rearing.
Tinubu stated this on Monday at the flag-off of Agric mechanisation revolution for food security in Niger State.
While harping on the painful experience of attacks by herdman on farmlands, he promised to devise a comprehensive program to solve the menace.
He said, “I know what it means as an economic sabotage for cows to eat up the crops, which is affecting our land.
“I know it could be painful, but when we make provision for cattle rearing, you as the governor who must provide the land, provide us the land.
“I as the president, I am committed to giving you in two three weeks time, a comprehensive program that will solve this problem.” He said.
