Nigerian singer, Kelechi Miles, popularly known as Tekno, has refuted reports claiming that he received royalties worth N1 billion from his collaborative song with fellow artist Kizz Daniel, titled ‘Buga’.
The debunked reports originated from a blog, Budget TV, which alleged that Tekno disclosed receiving 50% of the revenue generated from ‘Buga’ every month, with Kizz Daniel sending him close to a billion Naira as royalties for the song.
However, Tekno took to his social media platform to dismiss the claims, labeling the interview as “fake”. He vehemently denied receiving such a substantial amount and wrote on his X handle that, “Him money no reach. Anybody wey put out that fake interview, thunder fire your mama. #Talkingshit.”
