The Secretary to the Ekiti State Government (SSG), Dr Abibat Adubiaro on Sunday felicitated with Muslim faithful in the state and country at large on the occasion of 2024 Eid-el-kabir festival.
Speaking with journalists in Ado-Ekiti, Adubiaro noted that the significance of the celebration was to commemorate the perseverance of Prophet Ibrahim and take cue from his principles as their guide in life.
While assuring the people of Ekiti state of good tidings, she urged them to be patient with the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, who is working assiduously in all sectors to make Ekiti better.
She said, “The significance of this festival is to commemorate the perseverance of Prophet Ibrahim and I enjoin all Muslim faithful to take a cue from the Prophet to also have faith in God.
“They should be patient with the administration of President Bola Tinubu and everything will be normal.
“This administration is trying in all sectors and what we can do to appreciate him is to continue to pray for the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji”.
On his part, the lead of Imam in Southwest, Alhaji Jamiu Kewulere appealed to Ekiti citizens to have trust God and pray for the success of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
This was just after the Aare Musulumi of Ekiti State, Alhaji Abdulganiu Adebiyi also urged the citizens to take it easy with the state government for everyone to benefit the dividends of democracy.
The Chairman, Ado Ekiti Local Government, Bosun Osaloni enjoined them to be prayerful for the country to survive the myriads of challenges that are mitigating against its progress.
The Chairman of Ado West Local Government, Bolu Aladesanmi hailed the giant strides of Governor Oyebanji, urging the citizens to be prayerful so that the administration can deliver more of democracy’s dividends.
