A gubernatorial candidate of African Democratic Party (ADP) in the 2022 governorship election in Ekiti State, Erelu Kemi Elebute-Halle has distributed over 150 bags of rice to various groups across the 16 local government areas of ekiti state.
She said the initiative was aimed at supporting the administration of the Ekiti State governor, biodun Oyebanji, in cushioning the effect of the economy downturn, while also assuring that the current economic hardship will soon be over.
The All progressive congress stalwart, who hosted leaders of various groups at her residence in Ado Ekiti, stressed that the gesture is driven by a desire to provide relief to those suffering from the economic downturn, rather than political motivations.
Speaking On behalf of the groups, Ade Adetunji, praised elebute-Halle for her longstanding commitment to providing palliatives and affirmed their continuous support for her efforts.
Others who spoke to newsmen, oseni Olayinka, and olufemi egbololaye, assured that the palliatives would reach the intended recipients.
