The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, on Thursday bagged an award of recognition for Outstanding Contribution to the MSMEs sub sector in the state.

The award, which was presented at the presidential villa in Abuja at the office of the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, was received by the Commissioner for Finance, Akintunde Oyebode.

The award is in recognition of the Biodun Oyebanji administration’s huge support for MSMEs in the state including favorable tax regimes, counterpart funding arrangements with financial institutions, empowerment trainings, land clearing and provision of seedlings and inputs for farmers, support for cooperative societies, artisans and informal sector among others.

Also at the event, an Ekiti young lady, Adesola Adedoyin of Desoor Bags the Best Female Exhibitor Award and was given the prize of a car and N2 million cash.
