The Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG) Impact House (Youth Province 9) Iworoko, Ado Ekiti has distributed food items to over students of Ekiti state University, Ado-Ekiti (EKSU).

The event which held at the Church premises on Sunday had both members and non members, young and Old benefit from the gesture.

Speaking with journalists on Sunday, the Zonal Pastor, Enoch Olatunji revealed that the initiative, which is aimed at reaching out to at least a thousand persons was spurred by the intense economic hardship in Nigeria.

Pastor Olatunji stated that the gesture is one of the ways employed by the Church to give back to the community.

He acknowledged that hunger is a propelling factor to insecurity as people go extra miles to get their daily meal.

He further called on government to speed up measures to tackle the heightened economic downturn in the country.

Speaking with some of the beneficiaries, they appreciated RCCG for taking a bold step in assisting the people with food items.
