Rivers United and Plateau United have both won the first leg encounters of CAF Confederation Cup against Libyan opponents at home.
Rivers hammered Al Nasr Benghazi 5-0 while Plateau defeated Al Akhdar 4-1.
A brace from Ebube Duru and three other goals from Kazie Enyinnaya, Paul Acquah and Malachi Ohawume ensured NPFL champions Rivers ran riot against Al Nasr.
Duru opened score 12 minutes into the game from the penalty spot, while Enyinnaya doubled the lead three minutes later just as Acquah made it three before halftime.
Rivers United returned with more firepower in the second half, as Duru completed his brace, from the spot again, in the 64th minute, before Ohawume rounded up the goals with a superb strike in the 72nd minute.
In Abuja, five goals were also recorded as Plateau United also punched high against Al Akhdar at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
Albert Hillary scored a second half brace, with Mustapha Yuga and Ifeanyi Emmanuel also on target to earn the Jos-based club the victory.
Yuga grabbed the first goal in the 27th minute, before Ifeanyi Emmanuel added the second before the break.
Al Akhdar pulled one back after Hillary had netted the third for Plateau, but the midfielder scored again in stoppage time to complete his brace for a 4-1 win.
The second leg of both encounters will be held, November 9 in Libya.
