The candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Hon. Blessing Abegunde has vowed to stop Governor Biodun Oyebanji from becoming the first Governor to secure a second term in a row.
Abegunde who spoke with newsmen in Ado Ekiti said he would show Oyebanji the way out through the ballot.
His words, “Governor Oyebanji’s boast about breaking a ‘succession jinx’ only underscores the arrogance of a leader blind to his failures.
“Ekiti’s people deserve more than recycled promises and mediocre governance. Let this be clear: your return as governor in 2026 is not an entitlement it’s a delusion.
“The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and I, Hon. Blessing Abegunde, will ensure your exit through the ballot.
“We are mobilizing across every ward to expose your administration’s deficiencies and present a visionary alternative. Ekiti will reject trial and error for proven competence.
“Start packing your bags now, the people’s revolution is coming”.
