As the FIFA World Cup 2022 edition will end its group stage today and the knockout play-out start tomorrow, at least 12 countries has been ousted out of the 2022 World Cup tournament.
Germany, Costa Rica, and Belgium were the latest countries to be sent packing from the tournament following their final group fixtures.
Hansi Flick’s men are out despite a thrilling 4-2 victory over Costa Rica, while Belgium could only play out a goalless draw with Croatia.
Below are countries that have been eliminated so far;
Group A: Ecuador, Qatar
Group B: Iran, Wales
Group C: Mexico, Saudi Arabia
Group D: Tunisia, Denmark
Group E: Costa Rica, Germany
Group F: Canada, Belgium
Groups G and H conclude the final day of Group play in Qatar on Friday.
Meanwhile, Brazil, Switzerland, Portugal, and Ghana are set to advance from those matches. That leaves Cameroon, Serbia, South Korea, and Uruguay on the outside looking in.
The Round of 16 matches will then begin on Saturday.
