Senator Ike Ekweremadu has been found guilty of organ-trafficking by the UK Court.
His offence involved bringing a 21-year-old man from Nigeria to the UK for the purpose of organ harvesting.
NEWSTODAYNG gathered that his wife, Beatrice Ekweremadu and a Medical Personnel, Dr Obinna Obeta, who is serving as a middleman, were also convicted of conspiring to exploit the man from Lagos for his kidney.
Prosecutors told the Old Bailey the organ was to be removed and given to the couple’s daughter, Sonia, aged 25, who was cleared of the same charge.
