The Ekiti State Government said it would partner with Nigeria Institute of Soil Science (NISS) to promote sustainable agricultural practices, increase productivity, and ensure food security in the state.

The partnership would offer basic soil test services to farmers through the Ekiti State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.

The Ministry is committed to supporting farmers and promoting agriculture as a viable means of livelihood.

The Nigeria Institute of Soil Science will train officials of the Agricultural Development Program (ADP) to conduct the soil tests, providing farmers with valuable information about their soil, leading to increased yields and profits.

According to them, the service will attract a discounted fee, and interested farmers can contact the Ekiti State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security or any ADP office in their Local Government Area.
