Ado-Ekiti, the state capital of Ekiti State, presents a mixed bag of opinions when it comes to its nightlife, as residents share their perspectives on the city’s after-dark scene.

Okorie Maurice sets a tone of disappointment, describing the nightlife as “none existent” and lacking the energy he desires. He noted the presence of good aesthetics but remains unimpressed with the overall experience.

Speaking with Young Hero, a corps member, he provided a contrasting view, acknowledging the limited vibes but asserting that the city’s nightlife is acceptable with its hotels, supermarkets, and clubs.

Despite not being overly vibrant, he expresses a sense of safety during his late-night outings, often staying out until midnight.



From the ladies’ perspective, NEWSTODAYNG gathered from Ihenacho Comfort, who drew a comparison with Lagos, highlighting a quieter atmosphere in Ado-Ekiti. She made Adebayo area as a point of reference, where the fun is concentrated, offering a glimpse of livelier entertainment within the city.

Izah Dorcas takes a more optimistic stance, emphasizing the ease of going out without stress, the safety of the environment, and the presence of enjoyable spots.

his positive outlook contrasts with Mount Daniel’s assertion that Ado-Ekiti lacka a true nightlife, indicating that the city is still in the process of development.

While Ohenri Judith raised concerns about the dryness of the nightlife and suggesting that improvements are needed, she specifically noted the challenge of transportation, with limited options available after 10 PM.

Karibo Peace emphasized on the sentiment of a less vibrant nightlife, comparing it unfavorably to her hometown. Despite the lack of excitement, she disclosed that, she finds solace in the fair prices of edibles and consumables during her outings.
