Customers using defunct Heritage Bank in Ado-Ekiti converged at the bank in the early hours of Wednesday to demand the refunds of their deposits.

NEWSTODAYNG gathered that the large crowd which caused severe traffic disruptions at the nearby Fajuyi Bridge, slowed down movement in the state capital.

The angry customers who expressed their frustration as they have been waiting to be attended to called on Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, and labour leaders to urgently intervene to facilitate the retrieval of their deposits from the bank.

Also, some aged customers criticized the bank officials for their lack of response despite arriving early according to them “they had not been attended to us as of 10:10 AM.”

However, others disclosed that they were shocked when they saw the news that heritage bank license had been revoked as they had savings with the bank so it was important that they get refunds.
