Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has reacted to Mykhailo Mudryk‘s transfer to Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Gunners were heavily linked to Mudryk in the January transfer window before he eventually joined Chelsea.

The Ukrainian international was officially announced as a Chelsea player on Sunday and will wear number 15.

And commenting after Arsenal’s 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, Arteta admitted the club is still hoping to improve the squad but they will only make the right signings.

“We’ve excellent players. We want to improve our squad in this transfer window and I mean myself, the staff, players, the board, and ownership.

“We’re on it but we will do the deals that we can do and that we believe is right for the club.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal went eight points clear of champions Manchester City after the win against Spurs.

An own goal by Hugo Lloris and a Martin Odegaard’s strike saw Arsenal record a first Premier League win at Spurs since 2014.
