Fallen articulated Trailers have caused Motorists plying the Itawure to Erio Ekiti Road a 5-day standstill in the State.
While contacting the Sector Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Ekiti State, Mr. Elijah Olusola Joseph, confirmed the development, adding that he would visit the location.
He revealed that the State Government has already deployed one crane to the place to remove the fallen articulated trailers from the road.
“That is the present situation. Our men from the Federal Road Safety Corps are also there trying to bring the situations under control”.
“The problem has been on for like a week now and the FRSC Officials have always been there to follow up the situations there. And that is the best they can do because I had engaged the Federal Comptroller of Works and I was told that they have awarded the contracts because it’s a Federal road”.
“The Comptroller of Federal Works had awarded the contract of the road, the contractor is trying to mobilize to go and start work there”.
However, the Sector Commandant promised to do things at his disposal in order to control the traffic.
