A stranded nursing mother and other passengers have paid N500 each to be piggybacked across a muddy road.
This happened yesterday along the Lagos-Ibadan express road.
According to a source, they had switched from the tarred road to avoid traffic and met a much worse road.
She said, “as we were approaching berger, we had to switch from the tarred road to avoid traffic. Unfortunately, the route we switched to was muddy. Passengers from the commercial vehicles ahead of us alighted from their various vehicles to avoid being delayed to their destinations and fortunately for them, some group of Hausa men came there to back people to a dry land, with a service charge of N500 per person.”
