A ranking member of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Bamisile, has secured federal jobs for six employment seekers in his Ekiti South Federal Constituency II to tackle joblessness and poverty among the youths.

The federal lawmaker gave the revelation in Ado Ekiti, on Wednesday, while interacting with some stakeholders in Ado Ekiti, as part of the strategies to promote Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration ahead of 2026 governorship poll.

According to the lawmaker, the beneficiaries are: Ogunleye Oluwole Emmanuel from Iworo Quarters, Omuo Ekiti, who secured a lecturing job with the Federal University of Transportation, Daura, Kastina State.

Others are: Ologun Seun, Charles Tope Michael, Bamisile Eniola Bolorunduro, Boje Alasa and Shaba Omolola, who got employments into the Nigerian Police Force, Federal Fire Services and Teaching jobs.

Speaking about his commitment to youth empowerment and economic emancipation, Bamisile, said he had facilitated jobs for over a hundred of youths across the three Local governments in his constituency in his stint at the lower Chamber of the National Assembly.

The lawmaker said he decided to rev up efforts in security jobs for youths to reduce poverty and crime in the state and complement the efforts being intensified by Governor Oyebanji to stem the tide of criminalities .

“This was part of what we can do to complement what Governor Oyebanji was doing to alleviate poverty and give the youth a sense of belonging.

“In the last five years, I have secured federal jobs for over a hundred of people across the three Local governments in my constituency.

“Youth inclusion in governance starts with getting them jobs that can unlock their potentials, not really about political appointments alone.

“The youths are too strategic to be neglected. They represent today and future of this state and we must spare no effort to place them where they can fully enhance their potentials and God-given talents”.

Bamisile urged the beneficiaries to justify the confidence reposed in them by putting their physically, intellectual, emotional and moral endowments into the jobs they are saddled with to demonstrate that Ekiti people are hardworking and resourceful citizens .
