…as FELAD carries out sensitization on need to eliminate Gender Based Violence
His Royal Highness, Olori Oniye, of Iye Ekiti, have implored students in the Ilejemeje local government of Ekiti state, to be Ambassadors of love and peace and treat one another with respect and love in their various schools.
He said this during a conference organized by an NGO, Foundation For Excellent Living and Development, (FELAD), held at Iye Ekiti town hall.
FELAD, in partnership with the Ekiti State Ministry of Women Affairs, carried out a sensitization to four Secondary schools in Ilejemeje Local Government which include Ijesamodu comprehensive secondary school,Ilejemeje community High School,Iludun High School and Oniyo Grammar school, as part of its16 days activism to eliminate Gender Based Violence.
Speaking also during the event, Chief Mrs kupolati advised the students against carrying out gender based violence. Stating that it is harmful to the society and should not be allowed.
The Executive Director ,FELAD, Olajumoke Omisore expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and promised to do more to ensure that GBV is brought to the barest minimum and possibly eliminated in the society.
