The Presidential Election Petition Court has held that the petitioners (Labour Party, Peter Obi), have failed to show evidence that the 2nd respondent (Bola Ahmed Tinubu), was charged, tried or convicted of a criminal offence.
According to the Tribunal, all documents submitted by the Petitioners on allegations of drugs are not relevant.
The Tribunal also stated that no punishment or sentence was imposed on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the United States Court of Illinois as such, it is a civil matter and not a criminal matter.
