BREAKING! Edo 2024: PDP disowns Shaibu, says Ighodalo is party’s candidate

The National Publicity Secretary of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Debo Ologunagba has said the deputy governor of Edo state, Philip Shaibu is not the legitimate candidate to contest in the forthcoming 2024 gubernatorial election in the state.

In a live programme on Arise TV News, the Secretary said Asue Ighodalo is the legitimate candidate who has passed due process of the primary election by meeting all criteria set down by National Working Committee.

While urging Shaibu to return his sword into its scabbard for the interest of Edo people, he noted that welfare and security of the people matters most in the state.

“He (Shaibu) is a good party man but what is key about PDP is a very robust internal dispute resolution mechanism.” He added
