…as FG invites Labour leaders to negotiation table
The Senate president, Godswill Akpabio has appealed to Labour leaders to call off the industrial action, saying the house is ready to push new minimum wage for quick implementation.
The organized Labour under the aegis of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress commenced the industrial action earlier this morning over federal government’s refusal to comply with new proposed minimum wage.
Also, the federal government has invited the leadership of the organized Labour in a bid to suspend the strike action nationwide.
The federal government noted that the strike action is not the best option at the moment.
