The Chairperson of National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Ekiti State Chapter, Alhaja Fatima Bello has implored all Nursing Mothers to breastfeed their children for the improvement of their immunity.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the council, Mrs Adewumi Ademiju, in commemoration of 2022 Breastfeeding Week, Bello congratulated nursing mothers globally, adding that the Union would not relent at using various channels to propagate adequate breastfeeding of babies by nursing mothers.
The statement reads in part, “This is to congratulate nursing mothers across the world on this year’s breastfeeding week.”
“We make a clarion call on the stakeholders to prioritize constant and continuous sesitization, enlightenment on importance of breastfeeding for human development.”
“NAWOJ shall leave no stone unturned at using our various platforms to propagate adequate breastfeeding of babies by nursing mothers.”
