President Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed Dr. Tosan Erhabor as registrar/chief executive officer of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), with effect from June 9.

This was made known by the Minister of State for Health, Joseph Ekumankama, through the Director of Media and Public Relations, Ahmadu Chindaya, in Abuja.

Conveying the President’s approval of Erhabor, the minister urged him to continue to build and strive for excellence.

“Your reappointment is a privilege to serve, let it not be seen as a gateway to slumber because it is your final tenure in office. Do not see it as an authority to deviate from what you have been doing…” the minister said.

Ekumankama advised him to work in harmony with stakeholders in order to improve the heath agency.

“Do not forget the responsibilities and expectations of the office. I trust that you would justify the confidence reposed in you by the Ministry of Health and Mr President”, he added.

Erhabor who also assured the minister he would continue to improve on his achievements, said: “I will work to assure the Ministry and Presidency that deemed it fit to reappoint me that they did the right thing.”

MLSCN was established by Act 11 of 2003 to regulate the practice of laboratory science.
