Connect with your grassroots – Oyebanji tasks newly sworn in HOS, 2 other Commissioners

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State on tuesday sworn in newly Head of Service, Engr Sunday Komolafe, Prof. Bolaji Aluko and Hon. Dapo Karounwi, with a charge to connect with their grassroots.

While urging them to demonstrate the highest level of probity, integrity, decency and decorum, Oyebanji noted that his administration will not tolerate any act of indiscipline, irresponsibility or anything that can potentially embarrass the government.

He said their privileges must be solely used for the progress of Ekiti people and not for oppressive and accumulative tendencies, adding that nothing ignoble or scandalous must be associated with their activities

According to him, “We are all expected to demonstrate the highest level of probity, integrity, decency and decorum. As I indicated in my speech during the last batch of swearing-in, we will not tolerate any act of indiscipline, irresponsibility or anything that can potentially embarrass the Government.

“Privileges must be used solely for the progress of the people and not for oppressive and accumulative tendencies. As political leaders, you are all expected to be connected at the grassroots and to be worthy stewards of the Administration. Nothing ignoble or scandalous must be associated with any of us.”

While noting that the Civil Service must embrace innovation to improve service delivery, he implored the Head of Service to be an inspiration to others across cadres and must work in tandem with the spirit and focus of the administration and in consonance with the extant rules and regulations.

“I earnestly urge the Head of Service to be an inspiration to his colleagues across cadres and to ensure that there is no room for indolent and unprofessional conducts.

“We must all work in tandem with the spirit and focus of this administration and in consonance with the extant rules and regulations. The Civil Service must embrace innovation to improve service delivery. The Honourable Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Digital Economy will brief you on our innovation pathway for the civil service.” He added
