The Nigeria Customs Service Murtala Mohammed Airport Cargo Command has intercepted seven thousand pieces of male donkey genitals meant for exportation to Hong Kong.
According to the Customs Area Controller, Sambo Dangaladima who showcased sixteen (16) sacks of the donkey genitals, said it was with a duty paid value N216 million.
He also revealed that the smell coming from the sacks aroused suspicion in the customs officers who then open them to find the 7,000 donkey genitals.
He also noted that: “Upon interception of the seven thousand Donkey male genitals, the importers falsely declared these illegal wildlife parts as cow male genitals, after due examination, my export officers discovered they were Donkey male genitals. It’s the first time we are seizing this type of item, we will not allow such illegal wildlife trade thrive under our watch.”
The genitals were therefore handed over to the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service represented by Deputy Superintendent, Adebimpe Adetunji.
