A day old baby have been rescued from a dustbin in Lagos after being dumped there to die.
According to report, the baby was wrapped in a polythene bag and dumped in the bin and would have died If ,it for the quick intervention of good citizens.
The Police Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin who disclosed this via his post on his verified Twitter handle noted that the baby has been rescued and is doing well.
His tweet reads: “A day old baby was found wrapped in a polythene bag in a dustbin. Save for quick detection, baby would have died. Baby is doing fine. Prevent the pregnancy. It’s better than killing the baby. Infanticide is a crime.”
