As the 21st National Sports Festival is on the heat at Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta state, Team Delta has started on a good note as they occupied the 1st position on the Medal Table.
According to the Medal Standings, the defending Champion, Team Delta has won 43 gold medals, 22 Silver and 16 Bronze in the tournament.
Team Ogun, Oyo were occupying 2nd and 3rd position on the medal table with 7 gold, 5 silver, and 6 Bronze while Oyo has 6 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze.
Meanwhile, Team Ekiti stood on the 23rd position of the Medal table with 1 bronze won so far since the commencement of the tournament.
The coast is actually getting clearer day by day as Abia, Bayelsa, Edo are actually jostling to push harder in the ongoing competition.
