says Wike, Atiku should cool down
A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George has lamented over the rift between Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and the Presidential standard -bearer of the Party, Atiku Abubakar, adding that the devil has intervened in the affairs of the party.
The former Military Administrator of Ondo State noted that the party is in chaos, which needs cordial relationship of the duo to ascertain victory come 2023 general election.
NEWSTODAYNG recalled that Wike-Atiku’s rift has been generating controversies and confusion for some weeks.
It was reported that Wike is uncomfortable with his loss at the party’s primaries and Atiku’s failure to choose him as his running mate for the Presidential bid.
Bode George, who is also a member of PDP’s Board of Trustee, added that the party believes in the capacity and ability of committed and loyal Leaders who would soon crack the hard nuts in the party.
He thereby urged the duo to end the rift for the betterment of PDP.
In his words, “It’s a major bother, not to only me but to a lot of the committed leaders, members of the Upper Chamber of the party.”
“It looks like some kind of devil has entered into the midst of our party. But, let me tell you something, our party has the capacity to resolve our crisis.”
“We have enough experienced, committed, loyal leaders and followers who would sit and be able to handle this crisis once and for all.”
“Fortunately, we have five weeks to commence the campaign and my appeal is that Wike should cool down, the Presidential Candidate, Atiku should cool down too, because their ambitions must not be higher or bigger than our party.”
“We appeal to both of them because there is no Organization that would not have crisis but the capacity, ability to resolve such crisis would be a measure of how developed or reliable and respectable that Organisation is.”
“We have people who can resolve it and we have started to work on it. It’s just one more hurdle and we would be ready for the battle of 2023 Election.” he said
