The Deputy Inspector-General of Police, in-charge of FCID, FHQ, Abuja and the coordinating DIG of South West Geo-political Zone, DIG Abiodun Alabi, DIG Abiodun Alabi will deliver the 2024 Public Lecture of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Ekiti State Council.
The lecture is part of activities lined up to mark the annual Press Week of the Union scheduled to hold between the 7th and 13th of October, 2024.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, Chairman of the Press Week Planning Committee, Comrade Rotimi Feyisina affirmed that the public lecture will be held in Ado Ekiti on Saturday, the 12th of October, 2024 by 10am.
According to him, the DIG will be speaking on “The Roles of Media in Promoting National Peace and Security”
He noted that the event which will be chaired by the wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji and attended by other important personalities will be broadcast live on conventional radio stations and social media platforms.
All members of the public are enjoined to attend the lecture so as to also contribute towards chatting a better way forward for security matters in the society.
