President Bola Tinubu has charged Nigerians not to be dispirited by the disappointing outcome of the final clash between the country and Cote d’Ivoire in the just concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Recalled that the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire defeated Super Eagles of Nigeria by 2 goals to 1 in the final round of the tournament.

Tinubu, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, urged Nigerians to be optimistic and encouraged the nation to work harder and not get dispirited by the outcome of the match.

The President hailed the unwavering relentlessness of the team, coach and crew for their tenacious performance, while also acknowledging the hurdles they surpassed by steadily improving performance before pulling through to the final.

Tinubu also admonished the youths to pursue their dreams without fear, adding that his administration is committed towards making their aspirations come into reality.
